Overview

DubOnly is a free tool for discovering and tracking English dubbed anime. We take your privacy seriously. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information. This policy explains what data is stored locally and how it is used.

Data We Store

DubOnly stores data exclusively in your browser's localStorage. No data is sent to or stored on DubOnly's servers. This includes:

• · Authentication tokens - your AniList or MyAnimeList access token, stored locally to keep you logged in.
• · Anime list cache - a local copy of your watchlist entries to reduce API calls.
• · Theme preference - light or dark mode setting.

All of this data lives only in your browser and can be cleared at any time by logging out or clearing your browser's local storage.

Third-Party Account Access

When you log in with AniList or MyAnimeList, DubOnly requests limited OAuth access to:

• · Read your anime list (status, progress, scores, notes)
• · Update your anime list entries on your behalf
• · Read your public profile (username, avatar)

We do not access your email address, password, payment information, or any data beyond what is listed above. All updates go directly to AniList or MyAnimeList. DubOnly does not store your list data on any server.

Cookies & Tracking

DubOnly uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This helps us improve the experience and identify which features matter most.

Google Analytics collects anonymous data including:

• · Pages you visit and time spent on each
• · How you found the site (search engine, direct, referral)
• · Approximate geographic location (city/country level)
• · Device and browser information

Google Analytics does not identify you personally. Your IP address is processed but not stored in a way that can identify you. You can opt out of Google Analytics using their official browser add-on.

Revoking Access

You can disconnect DubOnly from your account at any time:

• · On DubOnly: click your avatar and select Logout. This removes all locally stored tokens and cache.
• · On AniList: go to AniList app settings and revoke DubOnly's access.
• · On MyAnimeList: MAL does not have a dedicated app revoke page. Logging out on DubOnly removes your token locally. To fully invalidate access, change your MAL password in MAL account settings.
